Special Needs Horseback Riding Fall 2025
Special Needs Horseback Riding Fall 2025

YMCA Camp Manitou-Lin

This fall, we are offering a six-week session of horseback riding to our local school district's special education department. We are looking for volunteers that can assist with this very rewarding program. Volunteers are needed for the six-week session on either Mondays and/or Wednesdays from 8:45am-noon (tentative on class scheduling possibly only until 11:15am). No prior equestrian experience is needed and training will be provided. Tasks can include grooming, tacking, leading our horses, and/or side-walking with our students.

The Turkey Trot 5k is a loop course that takes place on the wooded trails of the Wittenbach/Wege Center. The Turkey Trot 5k proceeds provide scholarships for the Litehouse Family YMCA.
